BERNIE FURSHPAN has been hired as a marketing consultant for over 25 years by brand names, including NASCAR, McDonalds, American Airlines, Moishes,
Lincoln Center, Hammerstein Ballroom, and many more. He will provide you with insights and wisdom he learned working with a large variety of vertical markets over the many years of marketing experiences he's had. You will learn the essentials in making your brand memorable, in realizing who your "customers" really are, how to promote yourself in a very competitive environment and how to earn enough to survive solely on comedy gigs. He will also provide you with techniques and tips for stage-fright and memorization. Bernie has been a public speaker, a TV Talk Show Host, a concert promoter and talent manager since the early 1980s and will share with you priceless information to take your career to the next level.
Here's what other students who are students in our comedy school have said about the workshop:

Instructor: Comey Producer JEFF SINGER, Exec. Judge at Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal
Fee: $300 ($250 with advanced registration)
JEFF SINGER has worked behind the scenes for numerous live events, radio programs and television shows. He is currently the Executive Consultant for the Just For Laughs International Comedy Festival, a post he has held for the past decade. Just For Laughs is host of the biggest worldwide comedy event in Montreal plus its recent expansion in Toronto and Chicago. For ten years he was the producer of New York’s renowned experimental comedy show “Eating It”, plus the spin offs “Dating It”, “Reading It”, and “Confessing It”, for which he served as executive producer for two Comedy Central pilots. He's had the privilege of working directly with stellar comedians including Patton Oswalt, Demetri Martin, Lewis Black, Sarah Silverman, Ed Helms, Craig Robinson, Janeane Garofalo and Robert Schimmel among many others. A former talent agent and manager, he has been a producer/consultant for The Aspen Comedy Festival, Madison Square Garden’s Comedy Garden, Star Search, BET, HBO Sports, AEG Live's All Points West Music & Arts Festival and VH-1 among others. He has served as an industry judge for stand-up comedy competitions in Boston, San Francisco, Austin and Seattle and scouts for talent all over the country.
As a writer/producer, some of his independent productions include “Triumph the Insult Comic Dog Live” produced at Irving Plaza in New York and The Metropolis Theatre in Montreal; and “Comedy You Can’t Refuse: An Evening of Italian American Comedy” hosted by Michael Imperioli and Steven Schirripa from The Sopranos, produced in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and Foxwoods Casino. For its full two year run, Jeff was the talent producer for Comedy Central’s “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn.” He was also a producer on three seasons of Nick at Nite’s “Funniest Mom in America”. In its last season, he was the segment producer on Fox’s “Talk show with Spike Feresten.” In between TV projects, he found time to produce a popular weekly radio comedy talk show for Sirius-XM satellite, executive produced by "Little Steven" Van Zandt. Originally from Montreal, Jeff spent 13 years in New York City and is now based in Los Angeles. He recently started producing a monthly comedy show in L.A. called "Supper's Ready".
Here's what other comedy students have said about Jeff:
"Jeff Singer knows comedy as good as anyone I've known. He's worked with some of the best comics and is a real and honest person. He helped me a lot when I was a new, young comedian. And I credit him for being a part of where I am now.... his skills in the art of dark magic are extremely mediocre though."
~ Actor/Comedian Nick Swardson
Comedy Central special and CD, "Seriously, Who Farted?"
"Reno 911"; "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry"; "You Don't Mess with the Zohan"
"Jeff possesses a rare ability to work closely with comedians and bring out the best in their writing and performing talents.
I trust his instincts and admire the way he communicates. He does it with lack of pretension, modesty and humility, the same qualities every good comic should have. I feel like I need to take his class, but I'm way too busy helping Kiefer Sutherland save the world. Watch "24", Mondays at 9pm on FOX."
~ Actress/Comedian Mary Lynn Rajskub
"24"; "Little Miss Sunshine"; "The Larry Sanders Show"
"Very few people have immersed themselves in stand up comedy like Jeff Singer. He spent years booking festivals and was at the forefront of the alternative comedy movement. And, more importantly, he was the first person to book me on television on a regular basis. Which proves he obviously has a keen eye for mediocrity."
~ Comedian Jim Norton
HBO special "Monster Rain"; Opie & Anthony Show; author, "I Hate Your Guts"
"Jeff Singer is both a celebrant and director of comedy. He cares about funny which to me is paramount. I have worked with him in many lands and he has an unerring knack for getting to what is what on the stage."
~ Comedian Greg Proops
"Whose Line Is It Anyway?"; regular guest on "Chelsea Lately"; comedy CD, "Elsewhere"
"Jeff Singer knows comedy. Well he likes my act, so that’s good enough for me. He just recently gave me excellent career advice. I’m not making this up, even though it sounds phony. He helped me, and he can help you. Help him help you, or some other Jerry Maguire reference."
~ Comedian Andy Kindler
Correspondent, "Late Show with David Letterman"
Montreal Just For Laughs Festival "State of the Industry" address; DVD "I Wish I was Bitter"
"Jeff is real. He understands that's the most important aspect of stand-up comedy. I have seen him give comics really smart advice and feedback, many of whom I recommended. He's straight up and honest, but always in a constructive way. He knows how to get you to raise the bar , learn the do's and don'ts, and find your own voice. He also knows the only reason he asked me for a testimonial is so that he could get black comics to sign up for his class. Let's be real"

"A JOKE IS A FORMULA - DO THE MATH" Manual
"A JOKE IS A FORMULA - Do the math, people." is an insightful perspective on how and why people laugh at jokes, and in particular, at a stand-up comedy show. It's a unique way of presenting the way a joke works. No one else teaches the formula the way it's presented in this quick-read manual.
The formula is explained in an easy to read and understand booklet. Once you've purchased the booklet, shortly after, an email will be sent to you containing the material.
Save Time. Most new comics don't have the time to take classes. Even seasoned comics need a refresher.
Save
Money. It would cost you hundreds of dollars to get training
in courses and seminars. In fact, many training courses
do not necessarily come to your area, and when they do, timing
and convenience are always an issue. We recommend that you purchase this booklet and then practice using the formula at open mics and get as much stage time as you can to harness the benefits of truly knowing what makes people laugh.
